Cookies Policy

This site uses cookies

In compliance with Law 34/2002 of July 11 on Services of the Information Society and Electronic Commerce (LSSICE), we inform you that this website, Flash SMT (flashsmt.com, *.flashsmt.com), uses cookies.

Definition

The LSSICE applies to any type of file or device that is downloaded to a User's terminal equipment to store data that can be updated and retrieved by the entity responsible for its installation. A cookie is one of those widely used files that we will generically call cookies.

Cookies are small text files sent to a browser from a web server to record User activity on a website so that this information can be retrieved later during navigations through the different pages connected to the server that installed them.

Cookies usually store technical information, personal preferences, content customization, usage statistics, links to social networks, access to User accounts, etc.

Types of Cookies

The following is a classification of cookies based on a series of categories. However, it is necessary to keep in mind that the same cookie can be included in more than one category.

According to the Entity that Manages Them

  • First-party Cookies: These are sent to the User’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the editor itself and from which the service requested by the User is provided.
  • Third-party Cookies: These are sent to the User’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the editor but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

If cookies are installed from a computer or domain managed by the editor but the information collected is managed by a third party, they are not considered first-party cookies.

According to the Length of Time They Remain Active

According to the length of time they remain active on the terminal equipment, we can distinguish:

Session Cookies

These are a type of cookie designed to collect and store data while the User accesses a web page. They are usually employed to store information that only needs to be kept for the service requested by the User on a single occasion (e.g., a list of purchased products).

Persistent Cookies

These are a type of cookie in which the data remains stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie's responsible party, which can range from a few minutes to several years.

According to Their Purpose

  • Technical Cookies: These allow the User to navigate through a web page, platform, or application and use the different options or services available on it, such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted areas, remembering the elements of an order, completing the purchase process of an order, requesting registration or participation in an event, using security features during navigation, storing content for the dissemination of videos or sound, or sharing content through social networks.
  • Personalization Cookies: These allow the User to access the service with some predefined general characteristics based on a series of criteria in the User's terminal, such as language, the type of browser through which the service is accessed, the regional configuration from where the service is accessed, etc.
  • Analysis Cookies: These allow the responsible party to track and analyze the behavior of Users on the websites to which they are linked. The information collected through this type of cookie is used to measure the activity of websites, applications, or platforms and to create browsing profiles of the Users of those sites, applications, and platforms, with the aim of making improvements based on the analysis of the usage data made by the Users of the service.
  • Advertising Cookies: These allow the management, in the most effective way possible, of advertising spaces that the editor may have included on a web page, application, or platform from which the requested service is provided, based on criteria such as the edited content or the frequency at which the ads are displayed.
  • Behavioral Advertising Cookies: These allow the management, in the most effective way possible, of the advertising spaces that the editor may have included on a web page, application, or platform from which the requested service is provided. These cookies store information on User behavior obtained through continuous observation of their browsing habits, allowing for the development of a specific profile to display advertising based on it.
